The Texas Instruments DS90LV012A is a single CMOS differential line receiver designed for applications requiring ultra-low power dissipation, low noise, and high data rates. It supports data rates in excess of 400 Mbps (200 MHz) utilizing Low Voltage Differential Swing (LVDS) technology.

This receiver accepts low voltage (350 mV typical) differential input signals and translates them to 3-V CMOS output levels. It is compatible with the ANSI TIA/EIA-644-A Standard and features a typical differential skew of 100 ps and a maximum propagation delay of 3.5 ns. The device operates from a single 3.3V power supply, with a range of 2.7V to 3.6V.

Key features include an integrated line termination resistor (102 Ω typical), power-down high impedance on LVDS inputs, and support for open, short, and terminated input fail-safe conditions. The receiver output is HIGH for all fail-safe conditions. The DS90LV012A is available in SOT-23 5-lead and WSON-8 (3x3 mm body size) packages, with a pinout designed for simplified PCB layout.

It operates within an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and offers low power dissipation (10 mW typical at 3.3V static). The DS90LV012A is electrically similar to the DS90LV018A and is fabricated with advanced CMOS process technology.
