The DS9098P-TRL+ is a low-cost, surface-mount iButton retainer designed to secure an F5 iButton on a PCB. It consists of three metal pieces (two for ground, one for data) molded into a body of black, heat-stabilized, glass fiber reinforced liquid crystal polymer (LCP). The retainer provides double redundancy of contacts (2 plus 2) and a contact force exceeding 2N for reliable connection. It prevents reversed insertion and latches the iButton for retention. Removal is achieved by releasing the latch, causing the iButton to pop up. The device withstands up to +250°C for surface mounting and is compatible with standard pick and place equipment. The contacts are stainless steel with selective 100% matte tin plating for optimal Pb-free solderability. The DS9098P-TRL+ is supplied on tape and reel (220 pcs per reel) and is RoHS3 compliant.
