The DS80PCI810NJYR from Texas Instruments is a high-performance, low-power 8-channel linear redriver. It is engineered to support high-speed interface protocols such as PCIe Gen-1, Gen-2, and Gen-3, with a maximum data rate of 8 Gbps.
This redriver features an advanced configurable signal conditioning I/O with a continuous time linear equalizer (CTLE) that provides up to ~10 dB of high-frequency boost at 4 GHz. This capability is crucial for opening input eyes that may be closed due to inter-symbol interference (ISI) from interconnect mediums like board traces or twin-axial copper cables. It also includes a linear output driver with a variable output voltage range up to 1200 mVp-p.
Designed for flexibility, the DS80PCI810NJYR operates on a single supply voltage of 2.5V or 3.3V. It offers ultra-low input-to-output latency of 80 ps (typical) and supports seamless link training. Programmability is available via pin selection, EEPROM, or SMBus interface. The device has a low power consumption of 70 mW/channel, with an option to power down unused channels.
The redriver is housed in a 54-pin WQFN package measuring 10 mm x 5.5 mm, featuring a flow-through layout. It has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and a 4 kV HBM ESD rating.
