The DS64EV400SQ/NOPB from Texas Instruments is a programmable quad equalizer that provides compensation for transmission medium losses and reduces deterministic jitter for four NRZ data channels. It is optimized for operation up to 10 Gbps, suitable for both cables and FR4 traces.
Each equalizer channel features 8 levels of input equalization, programmable via control pins or an SMBus interface. The device can equalize up to 24 dB loss at 10 Gbps or up to 22 dB loss at 6.4 Gbps. It supports AC and DC-coupled data paths for long run length data patterns and uses differential current-mode logic (CML) inputs and outputs.
This equalizer operates with a single 2.5V or 3.3V power supply and includes signal detect and standby modes for individual channels. It is housed in a compact 7 mm x 7 mm 48-pin WQFN package, suitable for surface mounting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
