It communicates using the standard 1-Wire protocol over a single conductor, with speeds of 15.4kbps or 90kbps. Each DS28EC20P+T has a unique, factory-programmed 64-bit ROM registration number for addressing in multidrop environments.

 

Key features include individual 8-page groups that can be permanently write-protected or set to EPROM-Emulation mode. It offers backward compatibility with legacy devices like the DS2433. The EEPROM has a 200k write/erase cycle endurance at +25°C.
