It communicates using the single-contact 1-Wire protocol, with its unique 64-bit ROM registration number acting as the node address.

 

This EEPROM operates over a voltage range of 2.85V to 5.25V and a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is supplied in a 6-lead TSOC package, suitable for surface mounting. Applications include printer cartridge configuration, medical sensor authentication, and system intellectual property protection.
