This IC provides precise measurements of voltage, temperature, and current to estimate available capacity in mAh and as a percentage. It includes essential Li+ safety circuitry for overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, and short-circuit protection, with programmable safety thresholds. Authentication is provided via an SHA-1 algorithm and a 64-bit secret.

 

The DS2784G+ features a 1-Wire interface for serial communication at speeds of 16kbps or 143kbps, allowing access to data registers, control registers, and user memory. It also offers 32 bytes of parameter EEPROM and 16 bytes of user EEPROM for storing compensation parameters, application settings, or battery lot and date tracking.

 

Packaged in a compact 14-TDFN (3x5) with a surface mount type, the DS2784G+ is suitable for applications such as health and fitness monitors, digital cameras, medical devices, handheld computers, and power tools.
