This driver accepts TTL or CMOS input levels and translates them to RS-422 output levels. It features TRI-STATE outputs for connection to system buses and special output circuitry that allows drivers to power down without loading the bus. The device has common enable and disable circuitry for all four drivers.

 

Key electrical specifications include a signaling rate of up to 30Mbps, a common-mode range of -14V to 14V, and operation from a single 5V supply (4.5V to 5.5V). The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.

 

The DS26C31MJ/883 is supplied in a 16-pin CDIP (Ceramic Dual Inline Package) with through-hole mounting. It is pin compatible with the AM26LS31 and DS26LS31.
