DS26522GN

The DS26522GN is a dual-channel framer and line interface unit (LIU) combination designed for T1, E1, and J1 applications. Each channel is independently configurable, supporting both long-haul and short-haul lines. This transceiver features internal software-selectable termination for various twisted pair and coaxial applications, including 100Ω T1, 110Ω J1, 120Ω E1, and 75Ω E1.

Key features include a crystal-less jitter attenuator that meets multiple industry standards, flexible signaling extraction and insertion, and alarm detection. The device supports T1 framing formats like D4, SLC-96, and ESF, as well as E1 G.704 and CRC-4 multiframe formats. It can be controlled via an 8-bit parallel port or a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI).

Applications for the DS26522GN include routers, channel service units (CSUs), data service units (DSUs), muxes, switches, channel banks, and T1/E1 test equipment. The device operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is supplied in a 144-TECSBGA package with surface mount mounting type.

This transceiver provides receive-signal level indication and transmit open- and short-circuit detection. It also includes LIU LOS detection in accordance with relevant standards and a transmit synchronizer.
