The Analog Devices DS26401NA2+ is an octal, software-selectable T1, E1, or J1 framer designed for telecommunications applications. It comprises eight independent framer/formatters and a system interface, each equipped with an HDLC controller. The device supports flexible signaling extraction and insertion, alarm detection, and insertion, along with independent transmit and receive paths.
Key features include support for AMI, B8ZS, HDB3, and NRZ line coding, performance monitor counters, and two-frame elastic store buffers for each transmitter and receiver. It also includes a full-feature BERT device that can be mapped to any port and an internal clock generator.
