The DS2431+ is a 1024-bit serial EEPROM utilizing the 1-Wire protocol, organized into four memory pages of 256 bits each. This device allows for individual memory pages to be permanently write-protected or set to an EPROM-emulation mode, where bits can only be changed from a 1 to a 0 state.
