The device offers complete T1/DS1/ISDN-PRI/J1 and E1 (CEPT) PCM-30/ISDN-PRI transceiver functionality. Key features include a crystal-less jitter attenuator, fully independent transmit and receive paths, and programmable BERT generator and detector. The LIU provides waveform generation for T1 and E1 interfaces, including DSX-1 and G.703 standards, with internal software-selectable termination resistors for various impedance requirements (75Ω, 100Ω, 120Ω).

 

Designed for flexibility, the DS2155LN+ operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires a voltage between 3.14V and 3.47V, consuming approximately 75mA. It features dual two-frame elastic-store slip buffers and can output synthesized clock signals up to 16.384MHz.

 

This transceiver is housed in a compact 100-LQFP (14x14) package, suitable for surface mounting. Its applications include T1/E1/J1 line cards, switches, routers, and add-drop multiplexers.
