The transceiver operates within a supply voltage range of 3.14V to 3.47V and can function across an extended temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is housed in a 100-CSBGA package, suitable for surface mount applications. The DS2155GN is designed for use in T1/E1/J1 line cards, switches, routers, and add-drop multiplexers.

 

Key features include complete T1/DS1/ISDN-PRI/J1 and E1 (CEPT) PCM-30/ISDN-PRI transceiver functionality. It also provides CMI coder/decoder for optical interfaces and a crystal-less jitter attenuator. The device offers fully independent transmit and receive functionality, dual HDLC controllers, and a programmable BERT generator and detector. Internal software-selectable termination resistors support 75Ω/100Ω/120Ω for T1 and E1 interfaces.
