The Analog Devices DS2154L+ is an enhanced E1 single-chip transceiver designed for complete E1 (CEPT) PCM-30/ISDN-PRI functionality. It features on-board long- and short-haul line interfaces for clock/data recovery and waveshaping, and includes a 32-bit or 128-bit crystal-less jitter attenuator. This transceiver supports line build-outs for both 120 Ohm and 75 Ohm lines and frames to FAS, CAS, and CRC4 formats.
Key features include dual on-board two-frame elastic store slip buffers, an 8-bit parallel control port, and the ability to extract and insert CAS signaling. It can detect and generate remote and AIS alarms, and offers programmable output clocks for fractional E1, H0, and H12 applications.
