The DS21354LN by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated is a single-chip transceiver (SCT) designed to interface with E1 lines. It integrates clock/data recovery circuitry and can automatically adjust to E1 twisted-pair cables from 0 to over 2km. The device supports G.703 waveshapes for both coax and twisted cables, and features a selectable 32-bit or 128-bit jitter attenuator.
This transceiver supports framing to FAS, CAS, CCS, and CRC4 formats, and includes an integral HDLC controller. It offers dual two-frame elastic store slip buffers and an 8-bit parallel control port for easy integration. The DS21354LN operates at 3.3V, has a current draw of 75mA, and functions within an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is supplied in a 100-LQFP package (14mm x 14mm).
The device meets various E1 specifications including ITU-T G.703, G.704, G.706, G.823, G.732, and I.431, as well as ETS standards and CTR12/CTR4. It also features IEEE 1149.1 JTAG-boundary scan architecture and is pin-compatible with previous SCT models.
The operating voltage for the DS21354LN is between 3.14V and 3.47V.
