DS21354L Description

The Analog Devices DS21354L is a single-chip transceiver (SCT) designed to connect to E1 lines. It integrates clock/data recovery and waveshaping for E1 waveforms, automatically adjusting to twisted-pair cables from 0 to over 2km. The device supports G.703 waveshapes for coax and twisted cables.

 

Key features include an on-board jitter attenuator selectable to 32 or 128 bits, a framer for locating frame boundaries and monitoring alarms, and an integrated HDLC controller. It meets E1 specifications including ITU-T G.703, G.704, G.706, G.823, G.732, and I.431, as well as ETS standards and CTR12/CTR4.

 

This transceiver operates at 3.3V with a current draw of 75mA and has an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It is housed in a 100-LQFP (14x14mm) package and is designed for surface mounting.
