DS21352LB+

The Analog Devices DS21352LB+ is a versatile T1 single-chip transceiver that integrates all necessary functions for connecting to T1 lines, supporting both DS1 long haul and DSX-1 short haul configurations. Its clock recovery circuitry automatically adapts to T1 lines of varying lengths, up to over 6000 feet. The device can generate both DSX-1 and CSU line build-outs, including specific dB values like -7.5dB, -15dB, and -22.5dB.

Key features include a crystal-less jitter attenuator, an HDLC controller with 64-byte buffers configurable for FDL or DS0 operation, and dual two-frame elastic store slip buffers capable of connecting to asynchronous backplanes up to 8.192MHz. It also provides an 8.192MHz clock output locked to RCLK. The transceiver supports interleaving PCM Bus operation and offers per-channel loopback and idle code insertion.

Designed for ease of integration, the DS21352LB+ features an 8-bit parallel control port with muxed or non-muxed bus options (Intel or Motorola). It supports programmable output clocks for Fractional T1 and fully independent transmit and receive functionality. The device also includes IEEE 1149.1 JTAG-Boundary Scan capabilities and is pin-compatible with DS2152/54/354/554 SCTs. It operates on a 3.3V supply and comes in a low-power CMOS design.

This transceiver is housed in a 100-pin LQFP package measuring 14 mm x 14 mm and is designed for surface mounting. It meets various industry standards including ANSI T1.403-1995, ANSI T1.231-1993, AT&T TR 62411, AT&T TR54016, and ITU G.703, G.704, G.706, G.823, and I.431.
