DS21352LB

The Analog Devices DS21352LB is a versatile single-chip transceiver IC that provides complete DS1/ISDN–PRI/J1 transceiver functionality. It supports both long and short haul LIU applications and includes a crystal-less jitter attenuator. The device generates DSX–1 and CSU line build-outs and features an HDLC controller with 64-byte buffers, configurable for FDL or DS0 operation.

This transceiver operates at 3.3V with a low operating current of 75mA and has a wide operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. It is housed in a 100-LQFP (14x14 mm) surface mount package. The DS21352LB offers dual two-frame elastic store slip buffers, an 8.192MHz clock output locked to RCLK, and interleaving PCM bus operation. It also supports per-channel loopback and idle code insertion, an 8-bit parallel control port, and programmable output clocks for Fractional T1. The device ensures fully independent transmit and receive functionality and generates/detects in-band loop codes. It is pin compatible with DS2152/54/354/554 SCTs and includes IEEE 1149.1 JTAG-Boundary Scan.
