The DS18B20+T&R from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated is a digital thermometer capable of measuring temperatures from -55°C to +125°C with a high accuracy of ±0.5°C between -10°C and +85°C. It utilizes a unique 1-Wire bus interface, requiring only a single data line for communication with a central microprocessor, which can also provide power in a parasitic mode, thus eliminating the need for an external power supply.
This sensor offers programmable resolution from 9 to 12 bits and includes a nonvolatile user-programmable alarm function to trigger alerts when temperature limits are exceeded.
