The DS18B20+ from Analog Devices is a versatile digital thermometer that measures temperatures from -55°C to +125°C with high accuracy. It utilizes a unique 1-Wire interface, requiring only a single data line for communication with a microprocessor, simplifying distributed temperature sensing applications.
This sensor features user-programmable nonvolatile alarm settings, allowing for upper and lower trigger points to be defined. The resolution is user-selectable from 9 to 12 bits, and it can perform a 12-bit temperature conversion in a maximum of 400ms. The DS18B20+ can also derive power directly from the data line, eliminating the need for an external power supply, with a power supply range of 2.5V to 5.5V.
Available in a TO-92 package, the DS18B20+ is designed for through-hole mounting. Its applications include HVAC environmental controls, temperature monitoring systems for buildings, equipment, and machinery, as well as process monitoring and control systems. The device boasts an ESD rating of HBM8000V and MM800V.
