The DS1822Z from Analog Devices is a digital temperature sensor designed for precise temperature measurements. It features a unique 1-Wire interface, requiring only a single data line for communication with a microprocessor, and can be powered directly from the data line.
This sensor measures temperatures ranging from -55°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±2.0°C over the common range of -10°C to +85°C. The thermometer resolution is user-selectable from 9 to 12 bits, and it converts temperature to a 12-bit digital word in a maximum of 750ms. The device operates with a supply voltage range of 3.0V to 5.5V.
Designed for simplified distributed temperature sensing, each DS1822Z has a unique 64-bit serial code, enabling multiple devices to function on the same 1-Wire bus. It also includes flexible, user-definable nonvolatile alarm settings. The DS1822Z is available in an 8-SOIC package and is suitable for surface mounting.
