The Analog Devices DS1822 is a digital thermometer that provides 9- to 12-bit centigrade temperature measurements. It features a unique 1-Wire interface, requiring only one data line for communication with a microprocessor. This device can be powered directly from the data line, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
The DS1822 measures temperatures across a wide range of -55°C to +125°C, with an accuracy of ±2.0°C over the common range of -10°C to +85°C. Its thermometer resolution is user-selectable from 9 to 12 bits, and it converts temperature to a 12-bit digital word in a maximum of 750ms.
