The DS1815R-5/T&R is a 3.3V EconoReset Supervisor IC designed by Maxim Integrated to automatically restart microprocessors after a power failure. It features a precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit to monitor the power supply status.
When an out-of-tolerance condition is detected, the device generates an internal power-fail signal that forces the reset output to an active state. Upon restoration of an in-tolerance power supply, the reset signal is maintained for approximately 150ms to allow the power supply and processor to stabilize before releasing the reset.
This supervisor IC offers accurate power monitoring with selectable thresholds of 5%, 10%, or 20%. It is available in both low-cost TO-92 and space-saving SOT-23 surface-mount packages, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
The DS1815R-5/T&R reduces the need for discrete components in power monitoring and reset circuitry, simplifying designs and improving reliability.
