The DS1775R+T&R is a digital thermometer and thermostat that provides temperature readings via a 2-wire serial interface. It requires no external components for temperature measurements, making it a true "temperature-to-digital" converter.
Key specifications include a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C with an accuracy of ±2°C. The resolution is configurable from 9 to 12 bits, allowing for quick detection of thermal runaway conditions. It operates with a supply voltage range of 2.7V to 5.5V and features an I²C output type.
This device is suitable for thermally-sensitive systems such as personal computers, servers, workstations, and office equipment. Its open-drain thermal alarm output (O.S.) becomes active when the device temperature exceeds a user-defined threshold. The number of consecutive faults required to set O.S. active is configurable.
The DS1775R+T&R is assembled in a compact 5-pin SOT-23 package, ideal for space-constrained applications. The low thermal mass allows for fast response times previously only possible with thermistors. It is software compatible with the DS75 2-wire thermal watchdog in thermometer mode.
