The DS1747-70+ is a non-volatile Static Random Access Memory (NV SRAM) integrated circuit manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor. It combines NV SRAM with a Real-Time Clock (RTC), crystal, power-fail control circuit, and a lithium energy source. This device is designed for long-term data retention, offering over 10 years of operation in the absence of power.
The clock registers are accessed identically to the static RAM, residing in the eight top RAM locations. The DS1747-70+ features BCD-coded time and date registers with automatic leap year compensation valid up to the year 2100. It also includes a battery voltage-level indicator flag and power-fail write protection, allowing for ±10% VCC power-supply tolerance.
This part is available in an EDIP package and supports through-hole mounting. It is also offered in an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for demanding environments. The device is Y2K compliant and pin-for-pin compatible with other densities of DS174xP timekeeping RAMs.
