The DS1640S is a versatile 4-channel P-channel power FET switch designed for power conservation in personal computer systems and other applications. Each of the four integrated FET switches can independently supply over 300 mA with a low voltage drop of less than 0.2 volts.
Controlled directly from CMOS or TTL level signals, the DS1640S features fast switching times of less than 10 µs at its rated supply current. The device operates with a supply voltage ranging from 3V to 5.5V and includes internal logic for gate bias generation. The FET gates can be controlled to either follow inputs directly or be latched, providing flexible control.
Packaged in a 16-SOIC surface mount format, the DS1640S is suitable for various power management tasks.
