DS1629S+

The DS1629S+ by Analog Devices/Maxim Integrated is an integrated circuit combining a digital thermometer and a real-time clock (RTC). It is designed for temperature monitoring and alarm applications, offering precise temperature measurements from -55°C to +125°C with a typical accuracy of ±2.0°C. The device also functions as a real-time clock, tracking seconds, minutes, hours, date, day of the week, month, and year, with leap year compensation through 2100.

Communication with the DS1629S+ is handled via a 2-wire serial interface (I²C/SMBus), making it suitable for various systems. It operates within a wide power supply range of 2.7V to 5.5V, with a lower bound of 2.2V mentioned in the datasheet, and features user-definable thermostatic and time alarm settings with a dedicated open-drain alarm output. Additionally, it provides 32 bytes of SRAM for general data storage.

This IC is housed in an 8-pin SOIC package and is designed for surface mount applications.
