This device features a 256-byte nonvolatile SRAM, an alarm function, a watchdog timer, and power-on reset capabilities.

 

The RTC registers store century, year, month, date, day, hours, minutes, and seconds in 24-hour binary-coded decimal (BCD) format, with automatic leap-year compensation valid up to the year 2100. It also includes an auxiliary battery input and provides battery voltage-level indicator flags.
