The DS1337C#T&R is a low-power serial real-time clock (RTC) and calendar IC manufactured by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated. It manages all timekeeping functions, including counting seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year, with leap-year compensation valid up to 2100. The device features two programmable time-of-day alarms and a programmable square-wave output, defaulting to 32kHz on power-up.
This RTC IC interfaces with most microcontrollers via an I2C serial interface. It operates within a voltage supply range of 1.8V to 5.5V, with timekeeping maintained as low as 1.3V. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, suitable for industrial applications. The device consumes a low current of 0.6µA at 1.3V to 1.8V during timekeeping.
Packaged in a 16-SOIC surface-mount package, the DS1337C#T&R is designed for space-saving and simplified integration. It supports both 12-hour and 24-hour formats with an AM/PM indicator. Applications include handheld devices, consumer electronics, office equipment, medical devices, and telecommunications systems.
The operating voltage range for the DS1337C#T&R is 1.8V to 5.5V.
