DS1314

The DS1314 is a CMOS circuit from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated that converts CMOS SRAM into nonvolatile memory. It features automatic write protection when VCC is out of tolerance and switches to a battery backup supply during power failures. The device monitors lithium cell voltage, providing an early warning of impending battery failure via its active low Battery Warning output.

This controller supports 3.0V or 3.3V power supplies and operates over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is available in space-saving packages, including an 8-pin DIP. The DS1314 ensures data integrity by protecting SRAM during power fluctuations and signaling low-battery conditions.
