DS1302ZN+TR

The Analog Devices DS1302ZN+TR is a highly integrated trickle-charge timekeeping chip designed for managing all timekeeping functions. It accurately counts seconds, minutes, hours, day of the month, month, day of the week, and year, with leap-year compensation valid up to 2100. This chip includes 31 bytes of battery-backed general-purpose RAM for data storage.

Interfacing with microcontrollers is simplified through a 3-wire serial port, supporting TTL-compatible logic. Data transfer can be done in single bytes or in burst mode for efficient read/write operations to both the clock and RAM. The device operates over a wide voltage range of 2.0V to 5.5V and consumes very low power, drawing less than 300nA at 2.0V, which extends battery backup run time.

Available in an 8-pin SO package, the DS1302ZN+TR minimizes space requirements. It also offers an optional industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for a wide array of applications. The device is UL recognized and lead-free compliant.
