The DS1233AZ-10+ from MAX is a versatile supervisor IC designed for microprocessor systems. It provides automatic restart functionality after power failures and includes monitoring for an external pushbutton override.
This device features precise 3.3V power supply monitoring with selectable tolerances of ±10% or ±15%. When an out-of-tolerance condition is detected, it asserts a reset signal that is maintained for approximately 350ms after VCC returns to an in-tolerance state, allowing the power supply and processor to stabilize. The internal circuitry debounces the pushbutton switch, generating a 350ms reset pulse upon its release.
Available in both low-cost TO-92 and surface-mount SOT-223 packages, the DS1233AZ-10+ operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It includes an internal 5kΩ pull-up resistor and reduces the need for discrete components in system designs.
Applications for the DS1233AZ-10+ include embedded systems, industrial controls, and any microprocessor-based design requiring reliable power-on reset and manual reset capabilities.
