DS1233A-10

The DS1233A-10 from Analog Devices is a supervisor integrated circuit designed to monitor critical power supply conditions for microprocessors. It automatically restarts the microprocessor after a power failure and monitors a pushbutton for external override. The internal circuitry debounces the pushbutton switch and maintains the reset signal for approximately 350ms after VCC returns to an in-tolerance condition or the pushbutton is released.

This device offers accurate 10% or 15% microprocessor 3.3V power supply monitoring, reducing the need for discrete components. It utilizes a precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and sensor to detect out-of-tolerance power supply conditions, generating an internal power fail signal that forces the reset to an active state. When VCC returns to tolerance, the reset signal is held active for about 350ms to allow for power supply and processor stabilization.

The DS1233A-10 is available in a low-cost TO-92 package, suitable for through-hole mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (TA). The output is open drain or open collector, and it monitors a single voltage supply.
