The DS1233-5+ is a 5V EconoReset supervisor IC designed to monitor microprocessor power supply conditions and external override pushbuttons. It features a precision temperature-compensated voltage reference and comparator circuit to detect out-of-tolerance power supply conditions. When an out-of-tolerance condition is detected, an internal power-fail signal forces the reset to an active state. The reset signal is maintained for approximately 350ms after VCC returns to an in-tolerance condition, allowing the power supply and processor to stabilize.
This supervisor also includes pushbutton reset control, debouncing the pushbutton closure and generating a 350ms reset pulse upon release. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is available in a low-cost TO-92 package.
