The DS1232LPSN-2+T&R from Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated is a low-power micro-monitor chip that oversees critical microprocessor functions including power supply status, software execution, and external override signals. It provides accurate 5% or 10% power supply monitoring and automatically restarts the microprocessor after a power failure, ensuring system stability.
This supervisor chip features a quiescent current of 50 µA and halts or restarts an out-of-control microprocessor. It offers adjustable or selectable reset timeout settings and can monitor voltages at 4.37V or 4.62V. The reset output can be active high or active low, with a minimum pulse width of 250 ms.
