The DS1232LPS-2+TR is a low power MicroMonitor chip designed by Dallas Semiconductor to monitor critical conditions for microprocessor systems. It offers accurate power supply monitoring with selectable thresholds of 5% or 10% and features a quiescent current of only 50 µA.
This device includes automatic restart after power failure and can halt and restart an out-of-control microprocessor. It also monitors a pushbutton for external override. The watchdog timer function can be set to timeout at approximately 150 ms, 600 ms, or 1.2 seconds, ensuring system stability.
The DS1232LPS-2+TR operates within an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is available in an 8-pin SOIC package, suitable for surface mount applications. The reset signals are maintained for a minimum of 250 ms after VCC returns to an in-tolerance condition, allowing for system stabilization.
