The DS1230Y-100+ is a 262,144-bit fully static nonvolatile SRAM organized as 32,768 words by 8 bits. It features a self-contained lithium energy source and control circuitry that automatically protects data during power loss.
Key specifications include a fast read and write access time of 70 ns and a minimum data retention of 10 years in the absence of external power. The device offers unlimited write cycles and operates within a full ±10% VCC range for the DS1230Y variant. An optional industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C is available.
This nonvolatile SRAM is designed to replace 32k x 8 volatile static RAM, EEPROM, or Flash memory. It is available in a standard JEDEC 28-pin DIP package, allowing for direct substitution in many existing designs. The PowerCap Module (PCM) package is also available for surface-mountable applications.
