The DS1213D SmartSocket is a 32-pin DIP socket designed by Analog Devices / Maxim Integrated to provide nonvolatile data retention for CMOS static RAMs. It accepts standard 32K x 8 or 128K x 8 JEDEC bytewide CMOS static RAMs.
This intelligent socket features embedded lithium energy cell and self-contained circuitry that safeguards data during power loss. It automatically switches to battery power and enables write protection when VCC goes out of tolerance, preventing data corruption. The data retention time is specified to be greater than 10 years with the proper RAM selection.
With an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and a voltage supply range of 4.75V to 5.5V, the DS1213D is suitable for various applications requiring reliable memory storage. It comes in a 32-DIP (0.600", 15.24mm) socket package and is mounted through hole.
