The DRV632PWR from Texas Instruments is a DirectPath™ stereo audio line driver designed for applications where size and cost are critical. It allows for the removal of output DC-blocking capacitors, reducing component count and improving THD+N performance.
This device is capable of driving 2 Vrms into a 10 kΩ load with a 3.3V supply. It features differential inputs and single-ended outputs, with adjustable gain configurable via external resistors. The DRV632PWR boasts low DC offset (<1 mV), high SNR (>90 dB), and low THD+N (<0.01% at 2 Vrms into 10 kΩ).
Key features include ±8kV IEC ESD protection on line outputs, short-circuit protection, and click- and pop-reduction circuitry. It also incorporates an external undervoltage mute and active mute control for pop-free audio on/off transitions. The device is supplied in a space-saving 14-TSSOP package suitable for surface mounting.
