DRV5825PRHBR

The DRV5825PRHBR from Texas Instruments is a stereo, closed-loop Class-D Piezo Speaker Driver with an integrated audio processor and up to 96-kHz architecture. It supports flexible audio I/O with multiple sample rates and digital audio interfaces. The device features a high-voltage, high-current piezo driver capable of 48VPP output, with 7.5A for stereo and 15A for mono operation.

Key features include an adaptive I/V limiter with adjustable threshold, impedance and frequency-based current limiting, and no gain attenuation until the limiter is triggered. It boasts excellent audio performance with THD+N ≤ 0.03% and SNR ≥ 110 dB. Advanced processing capabilities include SRC, DC blocking, input mixer, output crossbar, level meter, and multiple BQs.

Power supply configurations are flexible, with PVDD ranging from 4.5V to 26.4V and DVDD/I/O at 1.8V or 3.3V. The driver includes integrated self-protection features such as over-current error, cycle-by-cycle current limit, over-temperature warning/error, and under/over-voltage lock-out.

Designed for easy system integration with I2C software control, the DRV5825PRHBR is housed in a small 5x5mm VQFN package. It requires no external power resistor and, for most applications, no bulky electrolytic capacitors or large inductors. Applications include DTV, HDTV, UHD and multi-purpose monitors, notebooks, and tablet PCs.
