DRV103H

The Texas Instruments DRV103H is a versatile single-channel, low-side DMOS power switch that utilizes pulse-width modulated (PWM) output. Its robust design is optimized for driving electromechanical components such as valves, solenoids, relays, actuators, and positioners. It is also suitable for thermal loads like heaters, coolers, and lamps.

Key features include a wide supply voltage range of +8V to +32V and high output drive capability with 1.5A and 3A versions available. The device offers complete functionality with a digitally controlled input, PWM output, and an adjustable internal oscillator ranging from 500Hz to 100kHz. It also provides adjustable delay and duty cycle control, along with full protection against thermal and current limit shutdowns, indicated by an OK flag.

The DRV103H operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and is available in an 8-pin HSOIC package. PWM operation conserves power, reduces heat rise, and enhances reliability, while adjustable PWM allows for fine control of power delivered to the load. The DC-to-PWM output delay time and oscillator frequency are externally adjustable.
