The DPP301Z000 is a Pmod™ compatible peripheral module from TE Connectivity that integrates the HTU21D digital humidity and temperature sensor. The sensor is fully calibrated and measures relative humidity from 0 to 100%RH with typical accuracy of ±3%RH and temperature from -40°C to 125°C. It features selectable resolution: 8 to 12 bits for humidity and 11 to 14 bits for temperature. The module operates from a supply voltage of 1.5V to 3.6V, drawing 500 µA during measurement and only 0.14 µA in sleep mode, making it suitable for low-power applications.
The module communicates via I2C interface through a 12-pin Pmod connector. It includes a secondary 12-pin connector for daisy-chaining multiple modules. The HTU21D also has a built-in heater to remove condensation, an electronic ID code, and low battery detect and checksum capability. The board is available with an optional PTFE environmental filter over the sensor.
Application context includes environmental monitoring, HVAC systems, weather stations, and condensation detection. The datasheet provides FPGA fabric and microcontroller C code for development. The module is RoHS3 compliant.
