The device provides Ethernet Media Access Control (MAC), Encode-Decode (ENDEC) with an AUI interface, and 10BASE-T transceiver functions in accordance with IEEE 802.3 standards. The integrated 10BASE-T transceiver includes receiver, transmitter, collision detect, heartbeat, loopback, jabber, and link integrity blocks. It operates on a single 5V supply and is housed in a 160-QFP (28x28) package.
