The Texas Instruments DP83826IRHBR is a deterministic, low-latency, and low-power Ethernet Physical Layer (PHY) device designed for industrial applications. It supports 10BASE-Te and 100BASE-TX Ethernet protocols, meeting stringent requirements for real-time industrial Ethernet systems.

Key electrical specifications include a low TX latency of 40 ns and RX latency of 170 ns, with deterministic latency over power cycles. It operates with a single 3.3-V power supply and offers I/O voltages of 1.8 V or 3.3 V. Power consumption is less than 160 mW. The device features MII and RMII MAC interfaces and supports programmable energy-saving modes like Active Sleep, Deep Power Down, Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) IEEE 802.3az, and Wake-on-LAN (WoL).

Robust system solutions are provided through integrated circuitry for enhanced EMC, meeting IEC 61000-4-2 ESD and IEC 61000-4-4 EFT standards, along with CISPR 22 Class B emissions. It offers fast link-drop detection (< 10 µs) and a cable reach greater than 150 meters. The DP83826IRHBR includes diagnostic tools such as cable diagnostics, built-in self-test (BIST), and loopback modes.

Packaged in a 32-VQFN (5x5 mm) with an exposed pad, this PHY is suitable for industrial environments with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It is EtherCAT compliant and offers two selectable pin modes: BASIC for common Ethernet pinouts and ENHANCED for additional features.
