The DP7007G-R100 is an intelligent, fully programmable step-down point-of-load DC-DC converter from Bel Power Solutions. It integrates digital power conversion and intelligent power management, working with the DM7300 Series Digital Power Managers for synchronized system power regulation. Key parameters such as sequencing, tracking, fault protection, and compensation are programmable via an I2C-based GUI.
The converter operates from an input voltage range of 8 V to 14 V and provides an output voltage from 0.7 V to 5.5 V at up to 7 A. It offers a choice of 500 kHz switching for highest efficiency or 1 MHz for lowest ripple noise. The output ripple and noise are typically 10 mV at 0.7 V output and 20 mV at 2.5 V output under full load conditions.
The DP7007G-R100 features programmable dynamic output voltage positioning, multiple turn-on/off slew rates and delays, digital filter compensation, and synchronous operation with other supplies. It includes protection features such as overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), overvoltage protection (OVP), and undervoltage lockout (UVLO).
The module is housed in a small footprint SMT package measuring 22.2 mm x 12.5 mm x 6.5 mm and is surface mountable. It is approved to ITE safety standards UL/CSA 60950-1 and IEC 60950-1.
