The DM74AS74N is a dual D-Type positive-edge-triggered flip-flop manufactured by On Semiconductor. Each flip-flop includes individual D, clock, clear, and preset inputs, along with complementary Q and Q outputs. Information at the D input is transferred to the Q output on the positive-going edge of the clock pulse. Asynchronous preset and clear inputs allow for setting or clearing the Q output upon application of a low-level signal.
This device operates with a supply voltage range of 4.5V to 5.5V and has a maximum clock frequency of 105 MHz. The maximum propagation delay is 9ns at 5V and 50pF. It has a quiescent current of 16 mA and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C (TA).
The DM74AS74N is packaged in a 14-lead PDIP (Plastic Dual-In-Line Package) with through-hole mounting. It is functionally and pin-for-pin compatible with Schottky and LS TTL counterparts, offering improved AC performance over S74 at approximately half the power.
This flip-flop is suitable for various digital logic applications requiring data storage and synchronization. Its dual nature and control inputs provide flexibility in circuit design.
