The DK-20948 is a comprehensive development platform for the InvenSense ICM-20948, a high-performance 9-axis motion sensor combining a 3-axis gyroscope, 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis magnetometer, and a Digital Motion Processor. The board is built around the Microchip G55 MCU with 512KB Flash memory and includes an on-board Embedded Debugger, eliminating the need for external programming tools.

 

The DK-20948 supports I²C and SPI interfaces for communication with the sensor and can be powered directly via USB at 5V. It comes with essential software: the InvenSense MotionLink GUI for sensor data visualization and embedded Motion Drivers (eMD) providing APIs for sensor configuration such as full-scale range, output data rate, and low-power modes.

 

Key features include sensor fusion, accelerometer/gyroscope/compass calibration, Android functions (rotation vector, game rotation vector, gravity, linear acceleration), pedometer functions (step detection and count), and gesture recognition (pickup, tilt, bring to see).
