The DK-20648 development kit from InvenSense Inc provides a complete platform for evaluating the ICM-20648 6-axis motion sensor, which integrates a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope. The accelerometer offers selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, and ±16g, while the gyroscope supports ±250°/sec, ±500°/sec, ±1000°/sec, and ±2000°/sec.
The platform is built around a Microchip G55 32-bit MCU with 512KB flash memory, providing ample resources for firmware development. An on-board embedded debugger enables programming and debugging without external tools. The board is powered via USB and communicates with a host through I²C or SPI interfaces.
Included software comprises the MotionLink GUI for sensor data visualization and embedded motion drivers (eMD) with APIs for configuring sensor parameters. The kit supports sensor fusion, accelerometer and gyroscope calibration, Android motion functions (game rotation vector, gravity, linear acceleration), pedometer functions (step detection and count), and gesture recognition (pickup, tilt, bring to see).
The board is powered via USB at 5 V.
Yes, it is RoHS3 compliant.
