DIR9001PW

The Texas Instruments DIR9001PW is a one-chip digital audio interface receiver featuring a low-jitter clock-recovery system. It is compliant with major digital audio interface standards including IEC60958, JEITA CPR-1205, AES3, and EBU tech3250. This device can decode biphase input signals, commonly known as S/PDIF, EIAJ CP-1201, IEC60958, and AES/EBU.

The DIR9001PW supports a sampling frequency range from 28 kHz to 108 kHz, with a recovered system clock jitter tolerance of 50 ps. It offers selectable recovered system clock outputs at 128 fS, 256 fS, 384 fS, and 512 fS. The serial audio data output formats include 24-bit I²S, 24-bit left-justified, and 16/24-bit right-justified.

This receiver operates on a single 3.3V power supply (2.7V to 3.6V) and features 5V-tolerant digital inputs. It is housed in a 28-pin TSSOP package with a pitch of 0.65 mm. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, making it suitable for various consumer and automotive audio applications.

Key features include hardware function control, user data and channel-status outputs synchronized with decoded serial audio data, and an integrated sampling frequency calculator. It functions similarly to the DIR1703 with equivalent pin assignments.
