The DIN 6325 dowel pin is a headless, parallel pin made of hardened steel, precision ground to specific diameters. It features a 15-degree chamfer and radius on one end to facilitate insertion, while the other end is radiused. These multipurpose pins are designed for aligning parts, serving as guide and wrist pins, shafts, stops, and roller bearings.

 

Available in two tolerance classes: m6 (oversized) and h6 (undersized). The m6 tolerance provides a diameter range of +0.004 to +0.012 mm for an M5 pin, while the h6 tolerance offers a tighter range of 0 to -0.008 mm. The pins have a plain steel finish and are not rust-proof.

 

When installing in press-fit holes, it is recommended to press the pins into position rather than using impact force, as hammering can cause splintering. The length is measured from end to end, similar to ISO 2338 and inch series dowel pins.
